Welcome to Heads UP Tri-Cities, a nonprofit organization committed to making a positive impact in our community. Through grant process, we strive to bridge the gap in mental health services. We invite you to explore our website and learn more about how you can join us in making a difference.

items is included in the attached budget. While we’ve only provided kits for a short period of time, these kits have already proven highly effective in providing a constructive outlet for youths affected by grief. An estimated 310 kits are needed.
ARC Tri-Cities used this grant for: VIP Day program operates our days a week. Mission bases program to ensue those without substantial state funding or financial strength will be ensured of a high-quality program. This program creates a monthly activity calendar. Many of the activities include outing into the community, some include in house projects such as cooking and art projects. Monthly program fees do no cover expenses to produce all the activities so grant funding, fundraising and private donations are necessary to pay for the shortages.
ELIJAH FAMILY HOMES will use the grant for: Enhancing mental health through backyard playsets for children. Identifying families who we currently serve who would benefit from having a playset installed in their backyard. These families may include those facing financial hardship and experiencing other challenges during their recovery journey that limit their access to recreational resources for their children.
SENT TO SERVE will use the grant for: Provides food service, needed personal items for the homeless, ID Cards, Housing applications, bus tickets and a mobile shower unit support. Funds to be used for items to serve and support the mobile shower unit. Serving 150 people weekly is a constant financial need. We have purchases bus tickets, necessary supplies, and medications as well as paid assessment fees. We have a need for ongoing supplies for the mobile shower unit, socks, underwear and hygiene items.
Children's Development Center utilized funds for: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a unique program, adapted to each individual child and the unique set of behaviors that they display. Applied Behavior Analysis Services is the science of changing socially significant behavior. Whether or not your child has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ABA can help. ABA is geared toward children’s ages 2-6, is highly structured and includes an individual treatment plan and therapies to address the uniqueness of your child’s needs. Areas that can be addressed through ABA are communication, language, motor, self-care, play and social skills. We will primarily be using this grant to make up a portion of uncompensated care costs for low-income families. Write-offs for low-income families are quite significant and we will never turn a family away, so this gap keeps increasing. The Center bills insurance for services
but is only paid approximately 30% of what is billed. This money will help reduce the gap as well as help with program support. As of right now we have a waiting list of 145 children
Columbia Basin College Foundation used these funds to support a mental health awareness event for students during finals week. Offered opportunity to familiarize them with mental health resources available at the college.
